He laughed.
Today was hard.
It was one of those days that just got ya right in the heart. In my new (ish) role as Director, I am most times the bad guy. My days are filled with moments working my tail off, eating lunch at my desk, only leaving the office to feed Finn or help in a classroom - and after working so hard to help make the school the best it can and working so hard to help the teachers and staff the best I can, it's still not enough. Something will always be my fault, something is always not good enough, there is always a problem.
Today was especially hard.
...and then he laughed. Like really hard, grown up little boy on the playground with his friends laughed. My world turned upside down completely. It was one of those moments that when you experience it, you don't know if it's really happening or not. Right?? It was so great and surreal that I wasn't sure what to feel at first. It was amazing.
It made not only my day, but it made my everything. Everyday he changes me. He brings me back to what is real and good and whole.
To say I love you is never enough bus. You saved me now only today, but every second.
